Wearing Off Questionnaire Validated as a Way to Screen for End-of-Dose Symptoms in Parkinson's Disease: Presented at ANA
The 9-item "Wearing Off" Questionnaire (WOQ-9) is a valid way to identify the majority of patients with Parkinson's disease who have end-of-dose wearing off symptoms, according to research presented here at the American Neurological Association (ANA) 131st Annual Meeting.
"The study demonstrated that WOQ-9 is a highly sensitive screening tool for assessing the symptoms of wearing off in patients taking antiparkinsonian medications," said Mark Stacy, MD, associate professor of neurology, Duke University, Durham, North Carolina. "The WOQ-9 was shown to have 96.2% sensitivity."....
