Wearing Off Questionnaire Validated as a Way to Screen for End-of-Dose Symptoms in Parkinson's Disease: Presented at ANA
The 9-item "Wearing Off" Questionnaire (WOQ-9) is a valid way to identify the majority of patients with Parkinson's disease who have end-of-dose wearing off symptoms, according to research presented here at the American Neurological Association (ANA) 131st Annual Meeting. "The study demonstrated that WOQ-9 is a highly sensitive screening tool for assessing the symptoms of wearing off in patients taking antiparkinsonian medications," said Mark Stacy, MD, associate professor of neurology, Duke University, Durham, North Carolina.
