An Illegal Drug And Its Effects on Parkinson's Disease: Duke University Study

Researchers say they were surprised to find the illegal drug known as ecstasy appeared to reverse some symptoms of Parkinson's disease.
The study at Duke University involved giving mice with symptoms of Parkinson's high doses of amphetamines. They found the amphetamines, particularly ecstasy, dramatically improve movement problems commonly associated with Parkinson's.
